Myllyn Pyöräily welcomes all participants to enjoy a cycling event for active people on Sunday, the 29th of August 2010. The event centre will be located in Kerttula Sports park in Raisio ( Kerttula Sports park i Raisio, http://opaskartta.turku.fi/Web/Default.aspx?layers=Opaskartta&cp=109894,63828&z=2&language=fin ).

Distances
Myllyn Pyöräily has four different distances to choose from:
30 km (Myllyn Pyöräretki), 75km (Isomylly), 119km (Jättimylly) and 240km (Skandinaviamylly, a part of Skandinavialoppet tour).
Start
- Lining up for the start will take place in the start/finish area ten minutes before each start. - Make sure you’re in the right start group. Skandinaviamylly starts at 8.30 o’clock, Jättimylly starts at 10.00 and Isomylly at 10.15. Myllyn Pyöräretki participants start in their own start at 12.00 to 12.30 - There is no official timekeeping in the event. There will be a total performance time clock in the event centre, which will be started at 8.30 when the first start take off.

Equipment storage, toilet, dressing rooms and showers
Equipment storage will be provided to all participants at the start/finish area. Dressing room and shower facilities are located also right close to the Event Centre. There are toilets in the start/finish area and also at some service points in the course.

Traffic safety
- The use of a cycling helmet on all Myllyn Pyöräily routes is obligatory. - Participants must follow traffic rules and regulations and keep to the marked routes. - All participants in Myllyn Pyöräily are liable for their own actions.
The route markings
- Participants ought to familiarise themselves beforehand with the route description in the participant’s guide as well as with the route map in the start area.
The route will be marked with: - Road paintings - Marking bands - Signs indicating the distance (in km) to the next servicepoint - Signs with the Myllyn Pyöräily – logo
The service points will be marked with kilometre signs that indicate the distance from the start. They will also be numbered in a declining order marking the amount of service points left before the finish.
Participation numbers / bibs
- All participants must have a participation number that should be attached on the front of their shirt. - The meal at the finish area will be served only against the participation number.
NOTE! Some important telephone numbers (medical aid, service etc.) are printed on the back-side of the participation number.
Maximum performance time
The maximum performance time of the Skandinaviamylly is 11 hours 30 minutes (8.30-20.00). The advancing of the Skandinaviamylly riders will be checked at the service points and the organisers have the right to remove a rider that falls behind the maximum performance timetable from the route. The other riders must also arrive to the finnish before 20.00, when the finnish area will be closed. |
Service
- Participants will be provided with a comprehensive food- and drink service. - The service points can be contacted by phone. Numbers are printed on the back of the bib number.
Service points
- Skandinaviamylly: 7 service points on the route and one in the start/finish area
- Jättimylly: 5 service points on the route and one in the start/finish area
- Isomylly: 3 service points on the route and one in the start/finish are - Myllyn Pyöräretki: 1 service point on the route and one in the start/finish area
Finish
- All participants will receive a warm meal and drink.- All participants wll be photographed. The finishing photo will be mailed to the participants by the beginning of November.
Abandoning
- In case a participant abandons the ride, he or she must inform the organiser in the event centre or the nearest service point.
Liability and insurance
- The participants are not insured by the organiser. - Everyone taking part in the event is liable for themselves.
Medical service and first aid
- A first aid point will be located in the start/finish area. - On the route first aid will be provided by the service points.In case of a emergancy, please check the phone numbers printed on the back side of the bib number.
Cancelling the participation, the cancelling fee
In case of an illness, the participation fee can be moved on to the next year’s Myllyn Pyöräily if the cancelling fee of 5 € is payed along with the participation fee. In order to get the right the participant should send a written certificate/statement to prove the illness or injury.The participation fee is not returnable in any case. |
